Khasin, a senior vice-president, said the drug is likely to be available for people to buy over-the-counter or without a prescription in the future.
He also said it was "very likely" that the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will allow Khasin to be sold over-the-counter to men who don’t have erectile dysfunction.
The drug has already been on the market for more than two decades.
Khasin will be sold in shops and other facilities and, according to officials, “the price would be 50 percent lower” than the average retail price of $8.00.
“The Food and Drug Administration is not the first place to sell Viagra and similar medicines,” said Dr. Steven Nissen, a spokesman for the FDA.
But Nissen, who will not be available for media purposes, said it has been a "good start" for Khasin.
“We have the potential to have a very affordable, quick, convenient and very safe drug,” Nissen said.
The FDA has been a “great partner” in treating erectile dysfunction and has approved Khasin for use in a variety of conditions.
“I think they’ve made great progress in terms of the drug and it’s good news for men who are in the same boat as we are,” said Nissen. “The drugs can be used in the same way.”
Khasin has been on the market in the past three years and it is currently available as a generic drug.
Khasin has been prescribed to many men in the United States with erectile dysfunction.
Nissen said he has seen the drug for himself as a "very happy man" and that his experience has been very encouraging.
“It is not just for the people who have erectile dysfunction, but for those who have an underlying health condition like diabetes or high blood pressure,” Nissen said. “For the most part, men don’t get an erection that they want.”
The FDA has approved Khasin for sale in more than 60 states.
“For the most part, it is for the most part in the market for men who are healthy,” he said.
The Food and Drug Administration is not the first place to sell Viagra and similar medicines.
“We know how to make a man feel comfortable,” Nissen said. “But we know that it is not easy for men to make the connection, and we have to make a judgment call with men who have been in the same relationship for years, and we can’t.”

A few years ago, a new medication for erectile dysfunction, Viagra, was approved by the FDA to treat the condition. But when Pfizer, the maker of the erectile dysfunction drug, sold its rights to the drug to other companies, it was found to be counterfeit.
In a study published today in theJournal of the American Medical Association, researchers found that Pfizer knew about the drug’s potential for selling as fake Viagra. The fake Viagra had been sold under the name “Cialis” for decades.
Now, with the FDA finally deciding which drug will be approved, Pfizer is in the process of updating its sales records. “We’re going to take a look at the counterfeit drugs in the market and see what happens,” says study co-author Dr. David A. Johnson, M. D., the lead author of the study.
The researchers studied over 100,000 patients with erectile dysfunction at Cipla and found that Viagra, which was sold in the United States, had a similar degree of counterfeiting compared to counterfeit drugs. The counterfeit drugs contained two or more kinds of impurities: sildenafil, the active ingredient in Viagra, and vardenafil, the active ingredient in Levitra.
Viagra and Levitra were sold in packs of four, and Viagra, the original brand-name drug for erectile dysfunction, was sold in three, four or five packs. Viagra was sold at Cipla pharmacies at a discount to a prescription drug discount. The counterfeit drugs were not labeled, and their authenticity and purity were not documented.

In addition to the study, a team led by A. J. Edwards, M. D., researchers at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor tested four drugs in four different markets, including the U. S. “These are two of the very few drugs that really make a difference to men,” Johnson says. “It’s one of the few medications that have the highest quality of the ingredients.”
The study was published online in theand involved nearly 4,000 men in the United States aged 18 and older. The study found that the three drugs had the same concentration of active ingredients. The men were instructed to take a dose of the drugs within a specified time-frame.
The men were given an oral dose of one of the four tested drugs, taken 30 minutes to an hour before sex, and then asked to complete the daily dose, which was taken as needed.
